SunCatcher Family of Gonks Set of 4

Wish to add some fun colourful characters to your garden? Suncatcher’s family of gonks add a splash of vibrancy to any outdoor space. Our family of gonks, like all SunCatcher Garden Ornaments, collect daylight on their surface and emanate it around their edges, glowing at first light and just as the light fades. Unique to SunCatcher….this little family has papa gonk, mama gonk, and two little gonks. If you like our gonks, watch out as we regularly add new members to the SunCatcher Gonk family.

About these SunCatchers ...

This SunCatcher family of gonks garden stakes consists of: 4x glowing light collectors in red, orange, yellow and green. Planted they range from 20-28cm in height. They look great in your flower bed or pot or in your garden pond.

Papa Gonk is 30cm / 300mm / 12 inches tall and is cut from 3mm thick acrylic. Planted Papa will be around 28cm / 280mm / 11 inches high.

Mamma Gonk is 28cm / 280mm / 11 inches tall and is cut from 3mm thick acrylic. Planted Mamma will be around 25cm / 250mm / 10 inches high.

2 x kiddie gonks are 23.2cm / 232mm / 9 inches tall and are cut from 3mm thick acrylic. Planted the kids will be around 20cm / 200mm / 8 inches high.

Each gonk is cut from 3mm thick fluorescent acrylic and then the design is printed onto the gonk using colourfast UV resistant inks, making them long lasting decorations.

What are SunCatcher?

SunCatcher are a new and unique form of garden decoration. They collect the light of the sun and shine for you when the sun is not. SunCatcher come in various colours, shapes and sizes. You will find a huge variety of small, midsize and large flowers, little geckos, sheep or owls as well as small and big butterflies, kites and even wind spinners. All designed to add some extra colour to your garden.

How do SunCatcher work?

SunCatcher transform short wave spectral light we cannot see into long wave visible light. Accordingly, they are at their brightest, when there is less visible light around us. In the early hours as well as in the late hours of the day or when the sun is hiding behind clouds they will gather the light we cannot see and bring it back to us the brightest red, green, yellow orange and blue, just when we miss it most. SunCatcher work all year long and do not need any battery or power supply. Just a little bit of daylight is enough to start them glow.
